Time doesn't stand still and growing older doesn't always mean growing wiser. We may be trying to take care of ourselves by exercising, taking long walks, bike riding, jogging, etc... and the next thing we know, we're rushing to Starbucks and ordering latte. The question is, "are we really taking care of ourselves?"

Did you know that most of us don't realize that sugar is somewhat responsible aging skin? That's because it inhibits the effectiveness of collagen within your cells. After being attacked by sugar, the collagen fibers become cross-linked and adhere to each other. This can result in sagging and wrinkled skin.

Most of us are consuming one or two cups of coffee a day......but it's what's in the coffee that we have to watch. Whole milk, cream and sugar will make your midsection much more visible as well.

So next time you drop in your local coffee spot to order a delicious cup of Latte, pass on the cream & sugar and use substitute sweetener and skim milk.  I promise it will still be delicious!
