Your Strength Overcomes Your Troubles
By Amy Sherman
So, you think you have troubles. Your paycheck doesn't carry you through the whole month. You haven't yet found your soul mate. You're still wondering what you want to be when you grow up or you're not as physically healthy as you had hoped.
Everyone has their share of family, financial, relationship and business troubles. However, whatever it is, it will all be OK. Because it's what you decide to do about it and how you respond to your "problems" that really determines the outcome.
Emory Austin once said, "There are days when you don't have a song in your heart. Sing anyway." It's that optimism, trust, inspiration and hope that illuminates your life out of the darkness of the unknown.
How do you get yourself out of this trouble zone? Try stepping outside the box in terms of how you problem solve. Einstein said that trying to solve problems at the same level of thinking that created them is an exercise in futility. Therefore, whatever you did to get you where you are now-STOP and try something else.
Here are a few suggestions:
Be sure you are aware of your patterns and then create an affirmation to reinforce a new pattern. You may say, "I am patient and wiser now and can create effective strategies that work."
Be persistent, which means you have the mental strength to continue breaking through the repeated obstacles that are waiting for you.
Become associated with people who are already successful. If you want to improve your skills and efficiency, learn by observation and by modeling their actions.
Be ready to accomplish anything, no matter how impossible it may seem. As long as you believe it is possible (to change your financial situation, your relationship status, your health challenge, etc), you will find solutions to alter your situation. This means you explore new options, review new strategies and try new techniques which may actually improve your dilemma.
The important thing is not to give up when the going gets tough. The more you work at something, the easier it gets. The more you face your difficulty and not give in to it, the more courageous you become. And the test of your courage is to face the fear and keep going. You may fall, but as long as you stand up again, your troubles will be defeated.
