Playas: Do you have some Theme Music?

By Royce Banks
Yesterday, I woke up with my mother on my mind. Just a feeling that our daily phone conversation was not sufficient enough for our relationship. Nope! I needed to see and, engage her in thought provoking discussion, to have a laugh.
Fast Forward! We chose a familiar place to retreat, one where my mother is close with the proprietor. A place where we always receive the best hospitality and considerations.
The Hellos are warm, sincere. The smiles are genuine, considerate. We sat at a booth, near a large, all consuming window that views citizens moving and a picturesque view of the neighborhood where she lives.
The table has those older drink goblets placed on it with those fat curvatures in them to help you grip when you are ready to swallow your favorite libation.
Once placed, we both exclaimed "buffet" and we sprinted to the food display to receive our nourishment and to have catch up time with our unconditional chatter.
My mom had baked chicken with spinach, yams and rice. I had the baked catfish with rice and greens. Oh Yeah! This is a great start to a nice afternoon with parent and love.
My mom quickly proceeded to relaxation and good eating when, I noticed a photo of Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman placed neatly overhead of our designated area. I recognized then, commented to my mother "isn't that a nice photo".

Wow, I saw a light bulb flash in my mother's eye. Son, I remember with husband number three or, was he number four (team, like I said before I'm not new here, I grew here).
Well, anyway, one of the primary reasons why I loved him, he understood music ---especially jazz and, he had all the music at his disposal. Billie Holliday, she sang our song; he romanced me with great music.
He would cook a great dinner and play jazz the entire evening, it was sooo romantic.
Playas, that got me to thinking. What is your Theme Music/Song? Do you have one/some that come straight to mind when question asked?
Playa, you are like a super hero. Super heroes, if they are worth their weight in gold, should have their personal Theme Music. Theme Music is the precursor to action, when it comes to the conquest, Theme Music is a necessary part of the playa arsenal.
Playa with each lady that you have, based on emotions, personality, musical genres and mood, a musical ensemble should be used and implemented with strategic intent.
Classical, Blues, Jazz, Rock n Roll, R&B, Hip Hop all have calming ingredients that communicate at another level to your Big Game Hunt.
Theme Music has to arrest the defenses, place her into a "New York" state of mind. Grip her hormones. Snatch her logic; disengage outside influences that render the word 'no' irrelevant.
Some options are; Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, Maroon 5, to name a few.
Playas do your research. Let the Games begin. Your Theme Music is an extension of you and the unspoken messages you want to transfer to your goal.
Me, I like the "Baby Maker" by Carl Thomas. When I get my prize to listening to that song I have a 99% close rate. My Theme Music never lets me down.
How about you? Tell me what your Theme Music/Songs are?
Words for today, I need to designate and acquire Theme Music for today's Super Playa- Hero.
Yeah Boy, I like the way that sounds!
